Job Overview:
Senior level opportunity for Project Manager interested in managing due diligence, Phase II investigation, and site remediation projects. Opportunity exists if candidate is interested and capable of transitioning to a managing partner role.
Key Responsibilities for Sr. Project Manager:
- Phase I ESAs: Review and finalize reports. Manage junior staff preparing Ph Is.
- Phase IIs: Develop and implement site investigation plans.
- Site Remediation: Prepare and implement cleanup plans.
- Write: Direct writing tasks to junior staff, conduct final reviews, write executive summaries, and prepare final reports for non-technical clientele.
- Project Management: Prepare and manage project scopes of work, manage budgets and deliverables, ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Remediation Plans: Evaluate Phase II ESA results, develop a path forward, obtain relief from liability for PA’s Act 2 and other state voluntary cleanup programs.
- Team Collaboration: Direct work of staff, coordinate with senior managers and management.
- Client Communication: Keep stakeholders informed.
- Liaison with PADEP: Interact with, hold meetings, and respond to comments.
- Managing Partner Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations.
- Supervise work and workflow, provide guidance and motivation.
- Evaluate company finances. Drive revenue plans and lower costs.
- Build trusting relationships with clients, staff, and vendors.
- Maintain quality of services, products, and client service.
- Ensure a positive work environment. Implement a pragmatic approach to get the best out of people.
- Successfully recruit new employees and enhance company culture.
- Manage marketing strategies to maintain market relevance and promote services.
Qualifications for Sr. Project Manager:
- Education: B.S. in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science. Professional accreditation required.
- Experience: 20+ years in environmental consulting, focused on environmental consulting for private sector clients.
- Proficiency: Collaborating with regulatory personnel
- Budget and Schedule Management
- Skill Set for Sr. Project Manager:
- Strong technical and diagnostic thinking skills.
- High-quality writing.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies.
- Proficient with modeling software and GIS tools preferred.
- Added Skill Set for Managing Partner:
- Experience as a group or dept. manager.
- Knowledge and implementation of applicable federal and state environmental regulations.
