The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Agriculture is hiring a Forest Technician for the Plant Protection Division to help combat the Spotted Lanternfly.
You will be home headquartered in Cameron, Center, Clinton, Lycoming, Potter, Snyder, Tioga, or Union County with the use of a company vehicle to conduct surveys to monitor forest pests and invasive species. You will also communicate with landowners to arrange survey access, set and maintain traps to monitor pest activity, and maintain logs of survey activities.
You should have an associate’s degree in forest technology OR completed an equivalent formal education in forestry. Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent is also required. See our website for more information and apply!
